Hey all!! Well, I will be flying out exactly 3 weeks from today. Things have been going really well. I'm not sure what weight class I'm going to land in yet. I was pretty sure that I was going to be a middle, but we got a more accurate reading on my BF and I could possibly be staying in the LH around 130. Which ever is fine..I am so excited about the changes I was able to make in my physique I know for sure I will be at my all time best on July 28th!! Here is a little tidbit, I am participating in a calender photoshoot while I am in Vegas. The website is already up and running and the calenders are actually preselling right now!! The proceeds from the sale of the calenders go back to the girls in the calender to help with compitition expenses. (thank god) Anyway, check out the site www.buffcalendergirls.com !!

WHEW!! OK, so I officially suck at keeping up with my blog! (hehehehe) First off, I need to give a big ol THANXS to Mel D for the FANTASTIC new design of my site! I can't wait to see the finished product! Sooooo....what's been going on with me? Well, I have been training my ass off (literally) for one. I had a pretty slow start with my contest prep, but things are really rolling along now, and for once I feel on point. I am weighing about 143 and am coming in a whole lot tighter. I have been playing co-ed softball this spring which has really been a great outlet for me. It breaks up harsh training days and have really enjoyed it. I promise to have some pics up here by the end of the week to give ya just a peek, but till then, night night!!

WHEW!! It has been such a busy month! A couple of weeks ago I took on another job in addition to my personal training. I am working with preschool kids between the ages of 3 and 5 at different daycares in Greenville and Anderson counties. It is DEFINITELY very challenging and a very nig change of pace for me. I have had some small adjusting problems getting my schedule back in order, but I think that I have things under control now. I just got back from the gym a little bit ago. I did legs today and I went to the point of almost throwing up, so it was a good heavy workout. I am almost back to my normal squat weight that I was doing before I hurt myself, so I felt pretty good today. I did 250 for 8 so I am almost back at my 325 max...I can't wait to get there...:)...I am really ready to get things in order for July..I am sooo excited about the USA's, and it is still like 7 months away. Everything else is pretty calm in my life right now so that is helping with the mental aspect of everything...OH!!! George Clooney is filming a movie in Greenville this month AND HE IS WORKING OUT IN OUR STUDIO!!!!! He just makes me smile!!!....:)....Offseason pics will start floating in here pretty soon, so watch for those!! Ya'll have a good night!!

Well, only a couple more days till Christmas! I finally started shopping last Friday, so I still have a bit to do yet. This month has been pretty busy for me. I started training at a new studio in Greenville, and I am truly enjoying it! I am still struggling with the extra weight that I put on while I was on crutches, and let me tell you...I have all the respect for all you girls on contest prep right now for the Arnold show...Trying to stay even halfway clean thru Christmas sucks!! Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

Here's the pic from outside Miami Ink Tatoo Studio...Couldn't get it to post with the Thanksgiving blog....
XOXOXO

Well, I had a really good Thanksgiving...I defiantly ate way too much. I made 2 Krispy Kreme Bread puddings (one for each house went went to dinner at) and good lord they were soooo good!! What's so bad is that at one point, I think I would have been happy to throw up just so I could eat some more!
I cleaned out all the "post show" junk food out of the house on Saturday and went and bought "clean" food to start with on Sunday. It actually felt good to start eating normal again instead of seeing exactly how much junk I could feed myself in 1 day. I actually enjoyed my oatmeal and protein Sunday morning. I had to clean up my eating to get back under my max off season weight quick! You never know how bad an injury can set you back till you are sitting on your a** for over a week!
My leg is doing much better though. I started moving without my crutches last Friday, and I got back in the gym yesterday and taught a Body Pump class and then trained chest. It was a tough workout and I could really tell it had been over 2 weeks since I had lifted. I felt really good afterwards though. Of course, the deep tissue massage I had yesterday afternoon helped alot too!. I swear, I think that's why I look forward to Mondays sometimes. I have the BEST massage therapist in the world! Today was arm day. I HATE training biceps so that's why I train triceps with them...I guess you could call it a love hate kind of thing. Between my chest workout on Monday and the arm workout today, I am really dreading putting my clothes on tomorrow..It could really be a challenge!
It's close to bed time...night night!!

First off, let me just say how excited I am to have my website underway!! We still have lots of ideas and things to add, so just bear with me as my web designer and I work out all the "bugs".

Well, I am officially almost 2 weeks post Nationals and still full as a tick! For those of you that are just kinda learning a little about me, I LOVE TO EAT!!

My experience in Miami was exciting, frustrating, happy and humbling all rolled into one big ol' ball! From arriving "puffy" from the plane ride, (I had no idea that being on a plane could do that to you!) then trying to pull off the excess water to make weight and on top of it all, I got some wonderful puking bug and fever..... When I decided to do Nats this year, I went into it going for the experience of a top level National show..Man, did I get what I asked for!! All I can say is that the women there all had awesome conditioning and were holding their femininity all at the same time. I met some of the most gracious people backstage. (Kaylie P. is so great!! I had no idea we have so much in common!)

All this being said, I am sooo excited for the coming year!! I will DEFIANTLY be bringing a different package. I really want to come in a whole lot tighter and harder and I think I have a great game plan to get me there!!

So, I start getting all these plans together, and what do I do?? I went back to the gym last Friday (I think it was the 17th) to teach my Friday morning rebounding class, (high impact aerobics on mini trampolines) and I get this severe tightening in my right shin between my ankle and knee. I thought I was just a little tight since it was my first cardio session since before Nats. Well, it got extremely painful and just moving my toes was excruciating! So off to the emergency room I go. They did xrays to rule out any stress fractures and came to the conclusion that I had a slight tear and muscle strain in the front of my leg. The swelling is almost gone and I can bear weight on it now. I take crutches with me when I go out to have them to lean on but am able to hobble around the house without them. My son has affectionately started calling me "peg leg". You gotta love 11 year old boys! So, Monday I am going to do some type of cardio and a workout because I am in DESPERATE need of some exercise!! But I think I'll eat some turkey tomorrow first...hehehehe....

Happy Thanksgiving ya'll!!

MUAH!!
